BULK-BILLING

 

Bulk-billing refers to when a clinic will directly bill the cost of your consultation directly to Medicare, without the patient needing to pay anything out-of-pocket.

 

Bulking-billing available Monday to Friday with some doctors.  Please check on HotDoc before booking your appointment.  All doctors will bulk-bill Concession Card holders and children under 16 years of age.

 

Mental Health Care Plans,  GP Chronic Disease Management Plans and Health Assessments are bulk-billed if you hold a valid Medicare card.

 

Long Appointments

Long appointments are required if you need to cover more than one issue within your appointment.

 

Long appointment will incur a $50 out-of-pocket fee.

You will be required to pay the total cost of the appointment up-front.  The rebate will be put back into the account you have nominated with Medicare within 48 hours.

Procedures that require a longer appointment time will incur other fees.

Please check with reception for the fees.

 

MIXED-BILLING

 

Mixed-billing refers to when an appointment incurs an out-of-pocket expense once the appointment has finished.

Bulk-billing is still available with our mixed-billing doctors as long as they fit within at least one of the following conditions:

• Is aged 15 or younger

OR  has a current:

• DVA card

• Pensioners concession card

• Healthcare card

• Commonwealth seniors’ health card

 

Have booked to get the following completed:

• Mental Health Care Plan

• Team Care Arrangements

• GP Management Plans

WEEKEND BILLING SCHEDULE

Toowong GP Super Clinic does not  on the weekends. On Saturday, we are fully private billing, which means that every appointment will incur a fee. 

Saturday before 1pm: Standard appointment $85 (Out of Pocket  $42.85)

Saturday after 1pm/Sunday: After Hours appointment $95  (Out of Pocket  55.80)​
